Alessi Tea Kettles
'Alessi' is almost a household name for kitchenware and dining utensils through out the world. It is derived from an Italian family known by the same name. Giovanni of Luzzogno, the first Alessi learnt the art of pewter making from Germany like many others in his time. One of his successors also called Giovanni founded the Alessi Company. Many Alessi products became famous because of their quality and workmanship. They are known for their excellent finish and are attractive pieces of metallic work resembling work of art. There is a wide range of products manufactured under the Alessi brand name like kitchenware, dining utensils like containers, kitchen knives, trays, coffee pots, silverware, kitchen / biscuit boxes, cutlery, pots and pans and the most famous of them all, the Alessi tea kettle.
The Mami Alessi Tea Kettle
The Mami Alessi tea kettle has an oval shaped casserole with lid and has a plain brushed aluminum finish. It is designed by Stefano Giovannoni and is of superior quality both from technical and manufacturing point of view. The 14 liter capacity oval body has been made from expensive and complicated mold and its well rounded shape has a feminine touch to it like all other Alessi tea kettles of the Mami range. It was introduced in the year 2003.
The 9093 Alessi Tea Kettle
The 9093 range of Alessi tea kettles were introduced in the 80s and 90s especially for the American market with ‘fun’ as their USP. The earlier tea kettle models were largely perceived as tea kettles designed by Italians and for Italians. The 9093 was the first product designed by American designers and its playful design became the most recognized symbol of tea kettles in the 80s. A small bird shaped whistle is one of the attractive features of these kettles. Many tea kettle models were introduced using that theme later.
The Pito Alessi Tea Kettle
This is a whistling tea kettle just as the name ‘pito’ suggests and was introduced in 1992. Its peculiar design makes it stand out among all other similar tea kettles available in the market. It is made of mirror polished steel with handle and cap. The mahogany wood whistle gives a melodic sound when the steam escapes from the kettle.
The Mama-O Alessi Tea Kettle
This is another Alessi tea kettle in the Mami range. It has characteristic oval design like other kettles in the range and was introduced in 1992. It also has mirror polished steel with handle, cap and melodic whistle.
